Three days to go until SoundPro’18! Session times confirmed

You have just three days left to register your place for the essential one-day event for sound professionals!

This Saturday 6thOctober, location recordists, sound mixers and supervisors, production sound technicians, designers, assistants, recording engineers – anyone and everyone with a professional interest in broadcast, online, film, live events, post and games sound – will gather from 11am in Ealing Town Hall for SoundPro’18.

Synthax Audio UK  – the St Albans-based distributor of brands including RME, Ferrofish, Calrec Brio and Lauten – has kindly offered a top prize for the winner of the Twit/Tweet of the Day quiz at the end of the afternoon.

More exhibitors on board, line-up confirmed!

The number of exhibitors just keeps on growing: now rental houses Better Sound and Audio Dept have joined a line-up that includes Sennheiser, Raycom, DPA, Bubblebee, Quested, Rycote, URSA Straps, Audio Developments, Synthax UK, Audio Ltd, Giantsound, Micronwireless, CEDAR, PMC, Sony, and Audio Wireless. Representatives from BECTU and the Institute of Professional Sound will also be on-hand

“Have you ever wanted to swing a boom pole around a room in a somewhat imposing fashion? Peter ‘Vlad’ Laugalis and his Fisher boom are at the show, once again, to give you that opportunity,” grinned event organiser Dave Robinson.


Times for the unmissable afternoon session are now confirmed:

11.45am: Sound Supervision – Dennis Weinreich looks at roles in film post-production

1pm: Can We Fix It? Yes We Can!– tips and tricks for location recording from Reinhardt’s Rodney Wilkins

2.30pm: Jez Riley French – acclaimed location recordist and composer talks about his work and methods

3.45pm: The ‘Tweet/Twit of the Day’ Quiz  – your opportunity to win a FANTASTIC RME Babyface Pro: a 24-channel 192kHz bus-powered professional USB 2.0  audio interface! Those lovely people at Synthax Audio UK have given us this massive opportunity to get a Babyface… in your face!
